Sunroof

Status: Post-Production

Sunroof was one of the most challenging productions I’ve worked on. While the script was straightforward, location scouting was tough—we needed a desolate road, a lake, and woods. After an extensive search, we found a location 1.5 hours from Savannah. Because of the distance and long night shoots, the director (who co-produced with me) and I decided to turn the shoot into a weekend retreat, housing up to 20 cast and crew on-site to avoid driving fatigue.

We organized transportation, prepared meals ourselves to stay within budget, and planned sleeping arrangements with limited beds and air mattresses. The night shoot required renting extensive gear—generators, trucks, lights, and lenses—from Savannah, Atlanta and Jacksonville.

Producing a Graduate Thesis Film under these conditions taught me a lot and pushed my logistical skills to a new level. We’re incredibly proud of the outcome, the work the team and actors put in, and the overall turnout. It was also a great opportunity to finally collaborate with people I had wanted to work with for a long time—making it an even more special way to close my college journey.
